Gimme those crisp, flaky layers!
Want to make croissants but feel intimidated by the process? This is your training class!
We’re going to take the fear away by introducing you to some basic techniques and recipes that result in buttery, flaky goodness and ease you into the lamination process. Working exclusively with whole grain flour requires some important adjustments.
In this hands-on class you will learn how to choose the right whole grain flour for the job, the basics of folding dough to create layers, and 3 recipes that will increase your baking repertoire tenfold and make you feel like a true chef pâtissier!
Together we will make and taste:
Laminated Morning Buns
100% Whole Grain Puff Pastry (prepare to have your mind blown!)
Pie Dough (YES, flaky layered pie dough for the win! Remember that Napolean cake we posted on Instagram ages ago? Hmmm… wonder if it might make an appearance here.)
Attendees of this class will be given priority registration when our croissant class goes live.
Bring your own apron, rolling pin and your appetite! We’ll be tasting everything. All other supplies and materials will be provided by G&T. Open to bakers of all skill levels.
